If you hope to earn a living with your freelance writing someday, you need to maintain your focus.
First, of course, you need to develop a focus for your writing career.
Have you done that yet?
If not, take some time today to start figuring out the writing career you hope to have one day soon.
If you already have a focus for your writing career, are you sticking with it?
Maintaining a focus is one of the most difficult parts of being a freelance writer, especially if you work at home all day.
Family members and friends tend to think you’re available to do other things - when you know you should be writing.
Plus, all sorts of interesting distractions can prevent you from getting your writing done each day.
If you need help creating or maintaining a focus for your writing, join a writers’ group, take a few writing courses, or hire a writing coach who will work with you to develop a plan for your writing career and then help you stick to it.
Your writing career will start to take off soon if you just develop a plan and then stick to the plan.
