Yesterday, I attended a district conference of Toastmasters International here in Kansas City, Missouri.
If you aren’t familiar with Toastmasters International, as the name implies, it’s an international organization for people who want to become better speakers.
At yesterday’s conference, several high school students presented a session called “How to Do Excellent Interpretive Reading.”
I was blown away by the interpretive readings of these high school students.
They were simply amazing.
And inspiring.
They made me want to become not only a better speaker and reader but a much better writer.
I would love to have a reader interpret one of my short works as magically as these students did yesterday.
