Happy Mother’s Day!

Every year on Mother’s Day my family gets together and, as a gift to me (the mom), everyone works in the yard, planting flowers, getting the garden ready for summer, etc.

Today my younger son, Tyler, and my husband, Adrian, are the only family around, but they’re going to help me get the yard in shape. I have some pieces of stone that I want to put along the front walkway, too.
Plus, I saw this really cool thing to do with empty glass bottles while I was in Spain a couple of summers ago, and I’ve been wanting to try it in our backyard ever since, but just haven’t gotten around to it. So, we’re going to work on that, too.
I’m sure Tyler will think Mom has really lost it once he hears what I want him to do with these empty beer and pop bottles, but that’s nothing new. He always thinks I have crazy ideas.
For a bit of fun, visit the National Writing for Children Center site today to see one mom’s “Worst Mother’s Day EVER.”
Also, take a look at the “join our club” page. We’re adding all sorts of new benefits for our Children’s Writers Coaching Club members.
Have a great Mother’s Day, everyone!
