Last night I interviewed Suzanne Lieurance in a “Virtual Product Tour” for her 2 CD and workbook set, “Tricks of the Trade: Learn to Write for Children.”
(If you missed it, the replay is up at www.asksuzannenow.com. You can still post a question and Suzanne will answer it either on her site at www.suzannelieurance.com or in an email (so get on her mailing list at her site).
Suzanne answered lots of great questions! Which is what I love about these Virtual Book/Product Tours: You get to give lots of great information that people want and need.
It’s probably the best way to sell anything—by demonstrating. In this case, Suzanne got to demonstrate just how much she knows about writing for children. (A lot!)
The other thing I love about these Ask-type Virtual Tours is—they are so adaptable! You can sell just about any kind of information product or even service. It’s a great way to showcase your expertise.
In fact, there are many advantages to this type of campaign. In a recent article, I talk about five. I will be highlighting more in the days to come.
If you have a publishing question, I’ve started my own Ask campaign. Feel free ask your question and attend a live teleseminar next Tuesday evening in which I’ll answer those and other questions from callers. Even if you can’t attend, sign up so that you’ll get information about the replay. (Visiting this page and going through the process will also let you experience how it works.)
Whatever you do, marketing has to be a big part of the mix. I encourage you to consider how this type of vehicle can help you get the word out and demonstrate your expertise in your field. For more information on Virtual Book Tours, visit my FAQ page.
